Toyota Achieves GOLD Winner Status in Reader’s Digest Study of Canada’s Most Trusted Brands
Canadians voted Toyota as the Most Trusted Brand™ of passenger car and the Most Trusted Brand™ of hybrid car in a recent Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand™ study. For eight consecutive years, when Reader’s Digest asked Canadians to name their most trusted passenger car manufacturer, Toyota has been one of the top answers.
Toyota has also been the choice for the most trusted hybrid car manufacturer for six consecutive years.
To recognize this remarkable long-term dominance, Reader’s Digest has granted Toyota GOLD winner status.
“These awards are a testament to the superior quality, innovation and exceptional value our vehicles offer Canadians year after year,” said Larry Hutchinson, President and CEO, Toyota Canada Inc. “We work extremely hard to earn – and keep – the trust of our customers. We are humbled to once again accept such a meaningful endorsement.”
Reader’s Digest commissioned Ipsos Reid to conduct a nationwide online survey of more than 4,000 Canadians to identify the brands they trust. Respondents were asked for their most trusted brand within each of 40 product categories in an open-ended question format.
The Reader’s Digest awards are among many accolades Toyota Canada has recently received that demonstrate product excellence and brand leadership. Others include Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) “Top Safety Pick” awards, Natural Resources Canada recognition of best-in-class fuel efficiency for various Toyota Canada vehicles, and Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards and ALG Residual Value Awards.
